Hybrids of domestic cats with exotic/wild cats (Bengals, Chausies, Savannah...) are considered to be DOMESTIC animals by USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture, a federal agency enforcing animal welfare act).

Not all owners and all big cats will reach this level of trust to form this very special and close relationship. It takes years of experience, training and understanding, and very good cats as well. Just like humans, exotic cats have different dispositions and personalities.

USDA rules for USDA licensed facilities prohibit contact between public and big exotic cats over 16 weeks of age. It is only allowed in non public situations like you see in the pictures below; cats with the owners, trainers, handlers or volunteers which are considered 'professional'.
